Students will develop critical thinking through a series of themed projects. The creation of garments based on trends and current events according to specific criteria of the project brief will be explored. Students will continue to develop the personal style in relation to design illustrations and story boards.

Bio: Stacy studied fashion design at Parsons School of Design in New York, which included a one year study abroad at Parsons in Paris. After graduating in 1990, she started her career in the New York fashion industry at Liz Claiborne Incorporated and, within four years, she became Design Director of another large apparel firm called The Apparel Group International, and proceeded from there to carve out a successful design career in the corporate arena, working at many well-known design firms throughout her 20 year design career. In her years as Design Director, she directed all aspects of product development from concept to the timely execution of the final product and managed large design teams to ensure the highest level of creative productivity. In 2002, armed with global experience and a comprehensive product development expertise, she started her own fashion business and launched her first apparel collection called Molato. In addition to her design work, for the past four years she has been giving lectures at design companies throughout the US as a Trend and Design Consultant on upcoming fashion trends and how to apply these trends to target consumer markets.
